According to Official Guinness Records,
A total of 2,114 registered jammers gathered in Cairo, Egypt, on 26–28 January 2018, to participate in the 2018 Global Game Jam. A total of 119 games were made at the event’s official site. Egypt first took part in the annual event in 2013.The overall 2018 Global Game Jam set the record for most participants at a game jam (multiple venues), with 42,811 registered participants from 108 countries.
