The most participants in a sea angling competition is 785 and was achieved by Blue Sea Sport Angling Club (Malta) during the Blue Sea - Puttinu Fishing Festival at Marsaskala, Malta, on 19th September 2010.The winning team caught a total of 6.75 kg (14 lb 14 oz) worth of fish during the event.
