According to Official Guinness Records,

The most people participating in a weigh-in across multiple venues was 1,623 people in an event organised by the Scotish News of the World in association with Scottish Slimmers at 16 Asda stores located throughout Scotland, UK, on 16 January 2011. The total weight measured was 130,619 kg (20,569 stones;287,966 lb).
