The most people connected by rope is 2,846, and was achieved by Province of Bergamo, Union Bergamasca Sections of the Italian Alpine Club, local associations for mountaineering and mountains communities (all Italy), along the trails surrounding the Presolana Massif, Orobie Prealps, Italy, on 9 July 2017The event was a real joint effort from local communities, associations and institutions alike. It was organised to gather people from any age and background to set a world record while promoting safety and sustainability in the mountains and celebrating the love and respect for the local area. During the successful event named “Cordata della Presolana” money were raised to finance a project that will improve accessibility to the mountain for the disabled people.
