According to Official Guinness Records,

The most people picking strawberries simultaneously (single venue) is 1,141, and was achieved by Watari Town (Japan), in Watari, Miyagi, Japan, on 5 March 2017. The town of Watari had recovered its agriculture structure by proceeding hydroponic culturing in order to overcome its salt damage caused by tunami. The name of strawberry picked for the attempt was "Mou-ikko".
