According to Official Guinness Records,

The most people receiving henna tattoos simultaneously is 1,982, achieved at an event organised by Shree Ahir Samaj Seva Samiti-Surat, Natubhai Ranmalbhai Bhatu, and Jerambhai Vala (all India), in Gujarat, India, on 3 February 2018.Each participant had their own henna artist assigned to them in order to set this record.
