According to Official Guinness Records,

The character of Superman has featured in five live-action TV series and been played by six different US actors: George Reeves (The Adventures of Superman, syndicated 1952–58);John Haymes Newton and Gerard Christopher (Superboy, syndicated 1988–92);Dean Cain (Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, ABC 1993–97);Tom Welling (Smallville, Warner Bros., later CW, 2001–2011);and Tyler Hoechin in Supergirl (CBS/CW from 2015). A seventh actor, Johnny Rockwell (USA), played the character in The Adventures of Superboy (1961), an untransmitted pilot for an unrealized series. The characters of Superman and Batman have also appeared in numerous cinema serials and animated TV series over the years.
