Most prolific author of children’s horror fiction novels

According to Official Guinness Records,

Robert Lawrence Stine (USA) has the distinction of being the world’s most prolific author of children’s horror fiction novels. As of May 2011, R L Stine has written over 300 horror fiction novels including the hugely popular Fear Street, Goosebumps, Rotten School, Mostly Ghostly, and The Nightmare Room series, all of which, according to the author, are intended “…to give kids the creeps”.
In addition, he has also written dozens of joke books (under the name “Jovial Bob Stine”), a number of gamebooks, a trilogy about space cadets, and a two-part novel called The Beast.
