The most runners linked to complete a 5 km race is 190 and was achieved by the Aruna World Record team in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA, on 20 May 2017. The Aruna World Record team attempted this record to raise awareness for the organisation called Aruna, which is a non-profit organisation that is freeing women from the sex trafficking industry of India.
