Player reaching 2,000 shots on goal the fastest

According to Official Guinness Records,

During the 2010-11 season Alex Ovechkin (Russia) became the fastest player to reach 2,000 careers shots on goal since the National Hockey League (NHL) started keeping the statistic in 1967. Ovechkin, playing for the Washington Capitals (USA), reached the mark in 4 ½ seasons – no one else has done it in six. He had 288 of them go into the net as goals.
