Rarest aster

According to Official Guinness Records,

The world´s rarest species of true aster, and also the least-known, is the Quito aster Aster quitensis from Ecuador. It is known only from a single collection of botanical specimens, roughly 175 years old, obtained near Quito, in an area of valley that has since experienced severe vegetation destruction, so it may well be extinct now. No specimens exist in any Ecuadorian museum.
