US Holiday On March 20 2020?

The following is a compilation of American federal holidays, federal observances, state holidays and other common patriotic and national observances and commemorations that apply to the United States during Friday, 2020-03-20:

  • National Poison Prevention Week:

[fed-ob] National Poison Prevention Week is observed in the United States the third week of March. The goal of the week is to raise awareness of the risk of being poisoned by household products, medicines, pesticides, plants, bites and stings, food poisoning, and fumes. Awareness being duly raised, it is hoped that this will prevent poisoning.
  • School Energy Conservation Day in Ohio:

[oh-sp] The third Friday in March is designated as "School Energy Conservation Day in Ohio" to promote awareness in the schools of the need to conserve energy resources through reductions in their use as well as through their reuse and recycling.
  • National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day:

[nhas] National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day is an opportunity to increase awareness of the impact of HIV/AIDS on American Indians, Alaska Natives, and Native Hawaiians, and to encourage HIV testing and honor and reduce stigma among those infected and affected by HIV/AIDS. NNHAAD is a collaborative effort between these organizations: Asian Pacific Islander Wellness Center, CA7AE: HIV/AIDS Prevention Project, Great Plains Tribal Chairmen's Health Board, Inter Tribal Council of Arizona, Inc. and National Native American AIDS Prevention Center.

Notes:

[fed-ob] United States federal observances are days, weeks, months, or other periods designated by the United States Congress for the commemoration or other observance of various events, activities, or topics. These observances differ from Federal holidays in that Federal employees only receive a day free from work on holidays, not observances. Federal observances that are designated by Congress appear in Title 36 of the United States Code (36 U.S.C. § 101 et seq.).

[oh-sp] This is a special day, week or month by Statutory Designation in the State of Ohio.

[nhas] Part of the National HIV/AIDS Strategy Awareness Days.
