The farthest distance covered in 12 hours by a female ultrarunner is 149.130 kilometres (92.66 miles), by Camille Herron (USA) at the Desert Solstice track meeting in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, on 9–10 December 2017.As of January 2015, the International Association of Ultrarunners (IAU) no longer classifies World Best Performances by surface, creating a single combined list of fastest times.
