Fastest automated parking facility

According to Official Guinness Records,

The two steel-and-glass 48-m-tall (157-ft) "car towers" at Volkswagen’s Autostadt in Wolfsburg, Germany, store the new cars that come straight from the Volkswagen factory. Car buyers can watch as their new car is retrieved and delivered to them from one of the 20-storey towers by an automated system that travels at speeds of up to 2 m/s (3 ft 3 in/s). The entire parking process from the entrance of the tower to the farthest parking box takes 1 min 44 sec, with the actual lifting time within the towers' 20 levels being a mere 33 sec. At peak times, the robotic "shuttles" can process a car every 45 seconds. Image credit: © Autostadt/Lars Landmann
