First cinema in operation

According to Official Guinness Records,

The Cinématographe Lumière at the Salon Indien, a former billiard hall in the Grand Cafè, 14 Boulevard de Capucines, Paris, France, opened under the management of Clément Maurice (France) on 28 December 1895. The opening performance to an audience of 35 who had paid 1 Franc each, included L'Arrivée d'un train en gare (France 1895) by the Lumière brothers.
