First execution by electric chair

According to Official Guinness Records,

The first person ever to be executed by the electric chair was William Kemmler (USA) who was electrocuted on 6 August 1890 in Auburn Prison, New York, USA. Kremmler was sentenced to death for murdering his lover Tillie Ziegler with an axe, in 1888.
