First Japanese-born player in the NBA

According to Official Guinness Records,

The first Japanese-born player to appear in an NBA game is Yuta Tabuse (b. 5 October 1980, Yokomoto, Japan), playing for the Phoenix Suns (USA), against the Atlanta Hawks (USA) in Phoenix, Arizona, on 3 November 2004. The 5-foot 9-inch, 165-pound point guard scored seven points in ten minutes of playing time during the Suns’ 112-82 victory.
