First map of the New World

According to Official Guinness Records,

The term “New World” was derived from a published letter by Amerigo Vespucci named "Mundus Novus"—which was composed in 1502-1503. German mapmaker Martin Waldseemuller produced a map in 1507 which showed the "discoveries" since Columbus, and it was he who first used the name "America" (which is the feminine version of "Amerigo").
