First non-stop row across the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico

According to Official Guinness Records,

The first non-stop row across the Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico was achieved by Erden Eruç (Turkey), who rowed from Carupano, Venezuela to Cameron, Louisiana, USA, between 22 March and 27 May 2012. During this journey Erden covered 4,794.83 kilometres (2,979.36 miles;2,589 nautical miles). Erden completed this journey in his boat Around-n-Over, as part of his record-breaking first solo circumnavigation of the globe using human power.
