First person to row two oceans

According to Official Guinness Records,

The first person to row two oceans is John Fairfax (UK). Between 20 January - 19 July 1969 he rowed the Atlantic east to west solo in Britannia (in doing so becoming the first person to row any ocean solo). Between 26 April 1971 - 22 April 1972 he, and his team mate Sylvia Cook (UK), rowed the Pacific in Britannia II (in doing so becoming the first to row the the Pacific).
