First wave farm

According to Official Guinness Records,

The Aguçadoura Wave Farm is located 5 km off the shore of Portugal. It uses three Pelamis wave energy conversion machines to generate up to 2.25 MW of electricity. The Pelamis machines consist of connected sections which flex when waves pass, converting this flexing motion to electricity. The wave farm was officially opened on 23 September 2008.
