Largest half marathon

According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest half marathon has 41,615 runners and was achieved by The Great North Run (UK) from Newcastle upon Tyne to South Shields, UK, on 7 September 2014. During the event The Great North Run achieved their 1 millionth overall finisher since the annual event started in 1981.
