According to Official Guinness Records,

A total of 196,569 people from 681 schools across Canada, danced the Hokey-cokey simultaneously for eight minutes from 11.15am CST (10.15am PDT/2.15pm ADT) during 'activ8 the Nation's Schools Hokey Pokey Challenge' on 9 April 2002.
