According to Official Guinness Records,

Scotty Bowman (Canada) won a record 1,244 regular season NHL games during his 30-year coaching career with the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Buffalo Sabres, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Detroit Red Wings, from to 1967 to 2002.
