According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest musical act to release an album (signed) is Rock Choir, consisting of 4386 singers, and was signed to Decca, part of the Universal Music Group, on 23 October 2009.
Rock choir is a pop, gospel and Motown choir. They are due to release their first album called 'Rock Choir Vol.1' on 5th July 2010 and it is avaliable to pre-order from 15th June 2010 on amazon.co.uk. After that, it will be available at amazon.co.uk and in regional HMV stores. Singers in the choir range from ages 6 yrs- 80 yrs and is open for people to join on a termly basis. It is a mixed choir. They have previously appeared on the Paul O'Grady show, the BBC and at Disney and mainly do covers of already popular songs. Their first album contains the songs Can't Hurry Love, Walking on Broken Glass, Something Inside So Strong, Dancing in the Street, Somebody To Love, Valerie, Rescue Me, Joyful Joyful, Say a Little Prayer, No Tomorrow, Signed Sealed Delivered and Anytime You Need A Friend.
