Last battleships to see combat

According to Official Guinness Records,

The growing dominance of airpower and guided missiles in naval combat rendered battleships effectively obsolete. Massive guns, and therefore a massive armoured platform was no longer necessary for naval superiority. The US Navy’s 4 Iowa-class battleships, Missouri, Iowa, Wisconsin and New Jersey, were first commissioned in 1943. Having spent much of their lives in mothballs, some were intermittently recommissioned for the Korean, Vietnam and Gulf wars. The Missouri and Wisconsin both fired their 16-inch guns and tomahawk cruise missiles at Iraqi targets.
