The longest career as a television news broadcaster is 50 years and 179 days, achieved by Don Alhart (USA), who began working on 6 June 1966 and continues anchoring for WHAM-TV in Rochester, New York, USA, as verified on 2 December 2016.Don's employment at WHAM-TV began in a "summer relief" position, and he has since maintained an uninterrupted 50 year career at the same station.
