Longest distance run three-legged in 12 hours

According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest distance run three legged in 12 hours is 68.8 km (42.75 miles) and was achieved by Simon Ashton and Gary Hooson (both UK), in Plymouth, Devon, UK, on 26 July 2011.
Simon and Gary, of 29 Commando Regiment Royal Artillery, based at the Citadel, started at 7 am and finished their attempt at 7 pm, completing a total of 172 laps (400 m track) at Brickfields public running track.
