Longest serving bell tower captain

According to Official Guinness Records,

The longest serving office holder at Holy Trinity Church, Skipton, since records began, On 1 May 2001 Dr Digby Burton (UK) retired as Tower Captain at Holy Trinity Church, Skipton, UK after 47 years in charge of the church's bell tower. He first took command the team of bell ringers in 1964 and since then rang the bells two or three times every week. Over the course of his career he rang 138 ‘peals’, each one lasting over 3 hours.
