Longest serving newspaper columnist

According to Official Guinness Records,

Jack Ingram (UK, b. 20 September 1919) contributed weekly articles on 'Scouts and Scouting' to the Heywood Advertiser from 29 December 1933 until his final column on 5 February 2004. Also known by the pen name, White Eagle, Ingram is the longest serving columnist with 71 years of published weekly columns. This record is interrupted only by his service in the WWII. Claimant reported deceased in the Heywood Advertiser on 28 October 2004.
