Most balls released

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most balls released simultaneously is 10,000 at the Mega Pic-Nic 2010 organized by Realizar Eventos Especiais and Modelo in Parque Eduardo VII, Lisbon, Portugal, on 5 June 2010.
The record was broken in addition to "Most people wearing red noses" at the event, which attracted more than 110,000 people in what what was a daylong send-off to the Portuguese men's national soccer team before the 2010 FIFA World Cup. The net held 20,100 red balls but it was determined that only 10,000 were released in the alotted time period.
