Most complex laser system

According to Official Guinness Records,

The goal of the National Ignition Facility (NIF) at the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, USA, is "creating a miniature star on Earth". To do this, 192 laser beams housed in a 10-storey chamber will focus 2 million joules of energy on to a tiny target containing hydrogen fuel. This will fuse (ignite) the atoms' nuclei and recreate the conditions that exist in the cores of stars. The practical aim of the project is self-sustaining nuclear fusion in the laboratory.
