Most consecutive gold medals in a team Olympic event (female)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most consecutive gold medals in a team Olympic event by a female athlete is 4, achieved by basketball player Lisa Leslie (USA) from 1996 to 2008. This was equalled by synchronized diver Wu Minxia (China) and basketball players Sue Bird, Tamika Catchings and Diana Taurasi (all USA) from 2004 to 2016.Leslie was on the winning side in all four Olympic games. The USA have won more golds in basketball than any other nation.Wu Minxia won her fourth consecutive gold in the same event at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. Wu has won five Olympic golds overall.Bird, Catchings and Taurasi all won gold as part of the USA basketball team, which extended the nations overall medal haul in the event.
