According to Official Guinness Records,

The most IDPA competitions entered in one year by an individual was 28 by Robert Briggs (USA) in the 2010 season. The IDPA is the International Defensive Pistol Association and was founded in 1996. It held 69 sanctioned competitions across six nations and three continents in the 2010 calendar year.
