Most letters received in a lifetime

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most letters received in a lifetime is 22,018 by Gabriel Antoniu Lavrincic (Romania), who corresponded with children from the USSR between 1987 and 1991. All letters are well preserved and complete with their envelopes and postage stamps and postmarks.
In the process, Gabriel Antoniu Lavrincic learnt Russian from his pen friends.
