The most people blowing train whistles simultaneously is 5,527, and was achieved by Boiler Gold Rush (USA) at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, USA, on 15 August 2018.The attempt was part of the Purdue University freshman orientation week programing, and commemorates the school's mascot, the Boilermaker Special.
