Most runs scored by a player in a Test match (male)

According to Official Guinness Records,

The most runs scored by one player in a Test match is 456 by Graham Gooch (England) in the 1st Test against India at Lords, Middlesex, England between 26 and 31 July 1990. The England captain scored 333 in the first innings and 123 in the second.
