The Clinton-Mezvinsky wedding was the subject of more than double the searches of the previous highest ranking wedding on the Google Zeitgeist list, that of reality TV star Khloe Kardashian and the LA Lakers Lamar Odom (both USA) on 27 September 2009. In a statement released to the press, the bride's parents said: "Today, we watched with great pride and overwhelming emotion as Chelsea and Marc wed in a beautiful ceremony at Astor Courts, surrounded by family and their close friends.
