Jessica Tandy (UK) (1909 – 1994) was aged 80 years 227 days when she won the Golden Globe for Best Actress for her portrayal of Daisy Werthan in Driving Miss Daisy (USA 1989) on 20 January 1990. The Golden Globes have been presented annually since 1944 by the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, a group of Los Angeles-based journalists covering Hollywood for foreign publications
