According to Official Guinness Records,

The oldest person to obtain a pilot's licence is James Collins Warren (b. 16 August 1923, USA) at the age of 87 years old, in Vacaville, California, USA, in September 2010.
Retired Lt. Col. James C. Warren is a former navigator of the Tuskegee Airmen, the first African American military aviators in the United States armed forces.
