Oldest tattoos

According to Official Guinness Records,

Otzi, the mummified man discovered in 1991 in the Italian Alps, has 61 tattoos on his body. Otzi died around 5,300 years ago.Otzi’s competitor, a mummified corpse from the Chinchorro people of South America, is known for its tattooed moustache. A report in the February 2016 issue of the Journal of Archaeological Science: Reports, concludes that Otzi is at least 500 years older than the Chinchorro mummy. Otzi’s tattoos occur on his back, ribs, lower legs and left wrist. They were created by slicing open the skin and rubbing in charcoal dust.
