The fastest time to climb the height of Everest on an indoor climbing wall is 9 hr 26 min 15 sec, achieved by Tim Klein (USA) at the Top Out Climbing Gym in Santa Clarita, California, USA, on 30 December 2016. Tim wanted to climb the height of Everest at an indoor climbing gym in Los Angeles County in under 13 hours to raise money for one of his recovering high school students who was a victim of a shooting to the head.Tragically, Tim – and climbing partner Jason Wells – died while speed-climbing on El Capitan on 2 June 2018.
