First non-flying bird

According to Official Guinness Records,

The earliest non-flying bird is the feathered dinosaur Protarchaeopteryx. A fossil was found in Liaoning Province, north-eastern China in 1997. The size of a turkey and similar in appearance to carnivorous therapod dinosaurs, this newly discovered species had relatively short arms and symmetrical feathers - evidence that it could not fly.
