First use of Technicolor

According to Official Guinness Records,

Rouben Mamoulian's Becky Sharp (US 1935), an adaptation of the classic 'Vanity Fair', starring Cedric Hardwicke and Miriam Hopkins, is historically important as being the first feature film to use Technicolor. Designed by Robert Edmond Jones and photographed by Ray Rennahan, one critic said the performers looked like `salmon dipped in mayonnaise.'
