Largest collection of sports mascots

According to Official Guinness Records,

Adina and Falk Hinneberg (Germany) has 874 different official sports mascots as of 5 February 2010, that they have amassed since 1972.
Their collection started in 1972 when Falk was given a soft toy of Waldi. Waldi was the first official Olympic mascot created for the 1972 summer Olympics in Munich. Their collection includes 322 official sports event mascots and 554 official sports club mascots.
