Largest collection of thimbles

According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest collection of thimbles belongs to Robert J. Harper (Canada), with 8,003 different thimbles as of 8 January 2013, in Brockville, Canada.
Robert J. Harper began his thimble collection in 1986 with 12 thimbles. His favourite thimble in the collection is pewter thimble with a drummer boy figure.
