According to Official Guinness Records,

The largest joist hanger measures 2.12 m (6 ft 11.5 in) in height and will take a wooden joist 1.02 m (3 ft 4.5 in) in width. The joist hanger was made by Simpson Strong-Tie, USA, and was measured on 25 August 2006.
