Largest palace

According to Official Guinness Records,

The Imperial Palace in the centre of Beijing, China, covers a 72-ha (178-acre) rectangle measuring 961 x 753 m (3,150 x 2,460 ft). Initial construction took place during 1407–1420 under Ming emperor Zhu Di and his three architects Hsu Tai, Yuan An and Feng Chiao, and required over one million workers to complete. After centuries of reconstruction and modification, today it comprises some 980 buildings with 8,886 rooms.
