The most expensive pressing iron sold at auction is $15,000 (£8,839.65;€10,413.30) excluding commission, purchased by Ion Chirescu (Romania) and auctioned by Simmons & Company Auctioneers, Inc (USA) in Cleveland, USA, on 06 August 2009.Ion Chirescu has also held the record for 'Largest collection of irons' and 'Most expensive corkscrew sold at auction.'
