The most paper collected in 24 hours is 407,748.243 kg (898,931 lbs), and was achieved by Shred-It, iHeartMedia Inc., and San Diego County Credit Union (all USA) at the SDCCU Super Shred Event in San Diego, California, USA, on 23 June 2017.This record was attempted to encourage members of the community to safely and securely destroy confidential or sensitive documents.
